One of the key difference between a Home version and Pro version of Windows is being threatened by Microsoft. It appears Microsoft is happily thumbing their collective noses at the IT and business communities by attempting to force them into this horrid model. The difficulty of provisioning corporate desktops is difficult enough and this will make almost impossible. If Microsoft wanted to provide another reason for corporations to eliminate them on the desktop, well this is a great one. It must be their intent because this is an incredibly stupid idea. But stupid ideas and ineptitude seems to be rampant at old Microsoft these days. When was the last time you were confident that a security patch would not destroy your server or desktop or virtual environment. Microsoft has lost their way and this is just another example of it.
When will the IT industry stand up and start to make Microsoft pay for their avarice?
